The sensation of bathing in warm water containing sulfur in Songgoriti Hot Springs comes from the legendary water source of the Songgoriti Temple. Songgoriti Temple is the oldest temple in East Java which was founded by Mpu Sindok in the 9th century AD. Beneath this temple there are 3 sources of water namely hot water, cold water and green turbid water. It is said that the Songgoriti Temple was the location where Ken Dedes and Ken Arok met. In another story, it was in this temple that Empu Rompin, Empu Gandring, and Empu Supo washed their keris.
Near the temple building there is a yellowish hot spring, which means the water contains sulfur. According to local folklore, in the past the location of the temple was a crater from a volcano which emitted hot water. In the end, Mpu Supo came who built a temple over the crater so that the water did not flow anywhere, and until now it has become a source of water from hot springs pools/baths in Songgoriti.

The first pool contains boiling water, the second pool contains cold water and the third pool has green water that tastes like coconut water.

- Our 1st floor is in the form of a hotspring (2 large pools, 3 small pools and 3 jacuzzis) & a cafe with a minimum order of Rp100.000,- / person for ordering food and drinks. You can enjoy all hotspring facilities for free. Children under 5 years and seniors above 65 years can get a 50% discount for minimum order.
